Six “Janoshik” COAs. Zero Janoshik Links.

CASE STATUS: MISMATCHED / UNVERIFIED — RIGHT OF REPLY OPEN

An Australian supplier’s “full COA” buttons opened seller-created summaries. Two displayed report identifiers trace to Kovera Labs and Ion Peptide—not Janoshik. Here is how any reader can reproduce the check.

Important: This investigation does not establish that Defcon Peptides’ products are counterfeit, contaminated, under-dosed or otherwise unsafe. It identifies discrepancies in the way supporting documents are attributed and presented. The status will be updated if the supplier provides verifiable original records or a correction.

Clicking “View Full COA” should end the questions

On 31 August 2026, The COA Catcher reviewed the six entries displayed on Defcon Peptides’ public Certificates of Analysis page. The page presented the testing as independently verified by Janoshik and invited visitors to select “View Full COA”.

Each button opened a formatted webpage summary rather than an original laboratory-issued certificate. Across the six summaries we did not find a downloadable original report, a Janoshik task number, a Janoshik unique verification key, a direct Janoshik verification link, a named report client or a demonstrated connection between the tested batch and Defcon’s current inventory.

A seller-written summary may accurately reproduce laboratory results—but it is not the same thing as the original laboratory report, and it cannot independently establish the chain between a tested sample and the vial offered to a customer.

Then one report number changed the story

Defcon’s GLP-3 summary labelled report KVR-2026-2A0656 as a “Janoshik Laboratories” supplier COA. It displayed a purity result of 99.862%, a net content result of 22.88 mg and a certification date of 22 April 2026.

The source certificate carrying that exact report identifier, date and set of results is branded Kovera Labs, not Janoshik. It identifies the client as Ion Peptide, the product as ION-3R and the batch as ION3R20-04172026. The vial pictured in the report also carries Ion Peptide branding.

A second Defcon summary presented KVR-2026-56F742 as a Janoshik report for BPC-157/TB-500. Independent indexing associates that report identifier and the displayed batch BB10-04202026 with an Ion Peptide report from Kovera Labs.

What this does—and does not—prove

A reseller may legitimately rely on testing commissioned by its upstream supplier. If that is what occurred, the original laboratory should still be named correctly and the reseller should be able to document how the tested supplier batch connects to the stock it sells.

The available records support a finding of mismatched document attribution and incomplete public verification. They do not, by themselves, establish the chemical identity, purity, quantity, sterility or safety of any vial sold by Defcon. They also do not prove that a private Janoshik report does not exist.

Check it yourself in 60 seconds

  1. Open the supplier’s alleged full COA.
  2. Confirm whether it is an original laboratory PDF or image, rather than a seller-written summary.
  3. Record the laboratory, client, task or report number, verification key, batch and test date.
  4. Use the laboratory’s official verification system. Janoshik’s verifier requires both a task number and a unique key.
  5. Compare the client, product, batch, vial label, test date, purity and measured quantity.
  6. If the seller is relying on an upstream supplier report, ask how that tested batch connects to the seller’s inventory.
  7. Classify missing evidence as unverified, not automatically fake.

Right of reply

The COA Catcher invites Defcon Peptides to provide:

  • the original laboratory-issued certificate for each displayed test;
  • the Janoshik task number and unique key for any test represented as Janoshik testing;
  • an explanation of why Kovera report identifiers are labelled as Janoshik reports;
  • evidence connecting the tested Ion Peptide batches to Defcon’s inventory;
  • confirmation of whether the displayed popups are seller-generated summaries or reproductions of laboratory documents; and
  • the accreditation certificate, accrediting body and relevant scope supporting any ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation wording maintained on the page.

No supplier response had been requested or received at the time of publication. Any substantive response will be reproduced or fairly summarised here, subject to ordinary privacy and safety redactions.

What would resolve the case

Direct laboratory verification links, original certificates, current batch photographs and records connecting the source batches to Defcon’s inventory could move this case to Verified, Partially Verified or Corrected. A documented correction of the laboratory attribution would also be recorded prominently.
